Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp whole milk you can also use buttermilk,  1%, 2%, or skim milk. You can use coconut milk or any dairy-free milk you like!
  • 2 tbsp sour cream you can also plain Greek yogurt or a dairy-free sour cream substitute!
  • 2 tbsp real mayo don't use salad dressing or Miracle Whip, as it will make the dressing too sweet.
  • 2-3 tbsp homemade ranch seasoning mix

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the milk, sour cream, and mayo, until well combined.
  • Add the ranch seasoning mix, taste, and adjust if needed. If you would like your dressing to be a little thinner, add more milk, a splash at a time until you reach your desired consistency!
  • Serve immediately, or transfer to an airtight container and place in the fridge until ready to use.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Homemade ranch dressing can be stored in the fridge for up to 7 days! I like to store mine in mason jars, but you can store it in any airtight container. I would recommend using glass though!

You can easily turn this recipe into a homemade buttermilk ranch dressing! Simply use buttermilk in place of the regular milk. If like your dressing to have a tangy taste but you don't have any buttermilk on hand, you can add a 1/2 tsp of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar!

If you like your dressing to be slightly thicker, add 1-2 tbsps of extra sour cream and a little more seasoning!

I like to spruce my dressing up sometimes, I'll add fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice, to create a light fresh flavor. Or from fresh garlic and a splash of Worcestershire sauce, to create unqine flavor with a slight bit! You can also add some cayenne pepper or hot sauce to make your own spicy ranch dressing!
