Ingredients

  • 1 8-oz wheel brie cheese
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Combine the brown sugar and chopped pecans in a small bowl, and set aside.
  • Unwrap your wheel of brie and set it on a flat surface. With a sharp knife, cut around the edge of the brie roughly a 1/2-inch down, leaving a 1/4-inch rim around the edge. Using a spoon carefully scoop out the middle of the brie roughly 1/2 inch down or as deep as your cut.
  • Then place the brie on a shallow baking dish. I like to make and serve my brie in a small cast iron skillet, but you can also bake yours in a pie plate, a small casserole dish, or even an oven-safe bowl! For extra easy clean up you can line your dish of choice with parchment paper, but personally, I never do.
  • Spoon the pecan mixture on top of the brie, doing your best to keep it all on TOP of the brie.
  • Place the brie in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the sugar is melty and slightly golden brown on top. The cheese should be gooey and run out when the wheel is cut into.
  • Remove the brie from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving. Serve with crusty bread, crackers, or pretzels.
  • Enjoy!
