- 1 8-oz wheel brie cheese
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the brown sugar and chopped pecans in a small bowl, and set aside.
Unwrap your wheel of brie and set it on a flat surface. With a sharp knife, cut around the edge of the brie roughly a 1/2-inch down, leaving a 1/4-inch rim around the edge. Using a spoon carefully scoop out the middle of the brie roughly 1/2 inch down or as deep as your cut.
Then place the brie on a shallow baking dish. I like to make and serve my brie in a small cast iron skillet, but you can also bake yours in a pie plate, a small casserole dish, or even an oven-safe bowl! For extra easy clean up you can line your dish of choice with parchment paper, but personally, I never do.
Spoon the pecan mixture on top of the brie, doing your best to keep it all on TOP of the brie.
Place the brie in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the sugar is melty and slightly golden brown on top. The cheese should be gooey and run out when the wheel is cut into.
Remove the brie from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving. Serve with crusty bread, crackers, or pretzels.
Enjoy!
