Homemade blackening seasoning can be stored in an airtight container. Spice bottles, mason jars, and freezer bags, all work well. Store your homemade seasoning in a cool dry place for up to 3 months!
This blackening seasoning can be used for any of your favorite blackened recipes. Such as blackened chicken or salmon, I love to make blackened shrimp! But blackening seasoning can be used in various dishes, such as fish tacos, chicken alfredo, and dirty rice! It can also be used for seasoning different meats and seafood, such as mahi mahi, steak, and more!
I like my homemade blackened seasoning to have a good spicy kick. But if you are sensitive to spice, feel free to reduce the amount of cayenne pepper and adjust the recipe to a spice level that works for you!
