- 1 1/2 cups whole milk you can use any kind of milk you like, but I prefer to use whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream you can substitute more milk, but the hot chocolate won't be as creamy
- 2 tbsp white chocolate chips you can use a white chocolate bar chopped into small pieces, white chocolate pieces, or even white chocolate shavings. Just be sure to use good-quality chocolate!
- 1 1/2 tbsp homemade blackberry syrup
You can top this recipe with any of your favorite hot chocolate toppings, fresh whipped cream, mini marshmallows, dark chocolate shavings, etc.
If you don't have white chocolate, you can use white chocolate syrup or white chocolate mocha sauce in place of the chocolate chips.
Sometimes I add a little vanilla extract to this recipe, I feel the vanilla flavor rounds out the the recipe nicely. I add roughly 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract when I am feeling fancy!
