- 1 batch homemade pizza crust you can also use premade pizza crust or pizza dough for this recipe! If you are planning to make your own pizza dough be sure the recipe you use makes enough for 2 pizzas!
for the sauce
- 1 block cream cheese softened
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 pinch of sea salt
- a splash of soy sauce
- 1/4 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
toppings
- 4 cups shredded mozzarelle cheese
- 2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
- 1 cup pickled jalapeno slices
- 1 lb crispy bacon crumbled
Prepare your pizza dough according to the recipe instructions. Once the dough is risen divide it in half. Roll each half out on a lightly floured surface, then transfer the crust to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Drizzle each crust with a little olive oil and set aside until ready to top.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a small bowl combine all of the sauce ingredients, and mix until smooth and creamy.
Divide the sauce in half, and spoon it onto your prepared pizza crusts. Using the back of a spoon gently spread the sauce out until it covers the whole pizza crust.
Next, sprinkle your cheese(the mozzarella, followed by the pepper jack.) over the two crusts, doing your best to keep an even layer of cheese on each pizza.
Layer the pickled jalapenos over the cheese, and finally top the pizzas with your crumbled bacon pieces.
Place the pizzas in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the top is golden brown.
Allow the pizza to cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
Serve with a side of ranch dressing and enjoy!
Any leftover jalapeno pizza can in wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or placed in an airtight container and stored in the fridge for up to 5 days!
Feel free to use any of your favorite cheeses for this recipe. Cheddar cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, Monterey jack cheese, and parmesan cheese are all delicious! You can even use your favorite vegan cheese if you like!
If you like you can use fresh jalapeno peppers instead of pickled jalapenos. Just be sure to sample your fresh jalapenos first to see how spicy they are and help determine how many to put on your pizza.
This recipe can also be made with a pizza stone if you have one!
I love to use my homemade classic pizza crust for this recipe, but you can really use any kind of pizza crust you like, homemade or from the grocery store! Sourdough pizza crust, almond flour pizza crust, and whole grain pizza crust are all delicious too!
